Prompts vs poses! I’ll plan poses based on what works best for you, location, and lighting. But, I prefer to offer suggestions for prompts and allow you to interact with each other and move freely. Imagine we are filming a video rather than taking school portraits.

My favorite part of photographing weddings is finding the moments and details that make your love and your day unique compared to anyone else’s.

My favorite place to be on a wedding day is in a state of observation. Noticing the ways you naturally interact with each other and the loved ones around you. I love to document the details you may miss, and remind you of moments you have forgotten being swept up in the emotions of the day. Questions I ask myself throughout: What makes your relationship so special? What makes you feel like the most, you? What does this moment in time really feel like, here and now? How does this location represent your relationship? What moments will be the most special to look back on years from now?

I offer guidance throughout the planning process so we are on the same page with timeline, but I love to let God lead the way throughout your wedding day. Weather may change things up, timelines may shift, and I arrive flexible knowing that adjustments may need to be made day of. Consider me your overly prepared type B photographer friend. I prefer to go with the flow and provide comfort in the midst of every moving part. Of course, camera ready for every kiss and every tear (you most likely will find me shedding tears behind the lens).

Structurally: I love to arrive when you are still in the process of getting ready, prepared to capture those candid moments and details behind the scene. I’ll be either near you or paying attention to you from afar throughout the day and essentially be your shadow until you’re celebrating and no longer in the mood to have a camera in your face. :)

Sneak peek gallery will be delivered within 1-5 days for weddings and sessions. Final wedding galleries will be delivered within 6-8 weeks. Final portrait sessions will be delivered within 3 weeks.

I take time with each photo individually - editing blemishes, skin touch ups, distractions within the image, but I do not alter bodies. I like to ask about insecurities ahead of time so I can offer angles and poses that are flattering and help you feel confident.

Plan outfits you can move in, breathe in, and feel like your best self in.

I am not the photographer to tell you to only wear neutral colors and simple patterns. Colorful shoots welcome!

If your family enjoys to dress up, I will suggest that. If you prefer to dress down, I will suggest that!

I love to explore ideas together and will be happy to share outfit inspo upon request.

I live in Austin, Texas. Being from Minnesota, I also offer discounts on travel for sessions and weddings in Minnesota.

Yes! I am open for travel near or far. Travel is discounted to and from Minnesota.

Travel will look different for each location. I take into account flights, transportation, lodging and compensation for time spent traveling. Most of the time this will be reflected as one total fee for you, added on to your package.

I do offer payment plans and I’m happy to customize a plan for you according to your needs. Most sessions require a 50% deposit to secure your shoot date.
